I was about 80 feet away from this and it was obvious what was going on, the fan reaction was priceless. Oddly enough Firenze Fire got bitten at a couple years back. I’ve never seen a horse go to these lengths to take a bite.

Maybe the jockey should stop beating the horse and handle the reins. Looked like a dumb amateur who left the horse no recourse except to bite what is closest.

The horse bites the other one because it gets whipped / hit by the rider. it is hurting and it is a perfectly normal response. dogs do it a lot. animals who get pushed too hard will always response accordingly. poor horse 🙁
Stallions do not like to be close to each other. The biter is obviously a very dominant horse.
