  1. Stützle is rounding out as the best. Playing against men in the DEL. Laf was in the Q dominating in the lesser league.
Ottawa fans are smiling right about now.

  2. I’m a huge Ranger fan, and it’s so frustrating. Watching all of these top prospects play like top prospects, and then there’s Lafrenière. Such a hyped prospect since Crosby at the time and this is the outcome. It’s just frustrating because he’s got the talent, I’m sure of it. 39 points is great when comparing to his first 2 seasons, but he’s a 1OA pick. 39 should’ve been his rookie year

  3. This is partially why the Rangers aren’t true cup contenders. If their young high draft picks panned out they probably already have their ring

  4. Not everyone pans out. Get over it Ranger fans. As a Sens fan, glad we got the best 2 players of that draft, Stutzle and Sanderson. But I can remember when we got Daigle 1st overall in 1993 around the start of our new franchise and he was underwhelming for a #1 pick. He even said "Nobody remembers who went second." Well that aged poorly since Pronger went #2 and Karyia went #4 . Cheers

  5. It's not easy to play in NYC you see this from a lot of players in other sports as well, I think a trade to a lower market team will be the fix Laf needs but can the rangers get anything back for him at this point?

  6. Has anyone ever thought it’s got something to do with the coaching and managements development of these players and not the player himself? They can’t be all duds cmon! Lacking player development skills imo!

  7. Wouldn't it be funny if Alex Laferriere turns out to be a better player than Alex Lafreniere looking that way at least in this pre-season as Laferriere has looked fantastic to start pre-season

  8. A few points about Lafreniere:
    1. Don’t blame the guy, blame the organization who drafted him…and Kakko.
    2. The 2020 draft is not off to a good start. Other than Stutzle, no other player has really broke out.
    3. At least he’s not Yakupov

  9. Rangers don’t have good player development, in fact probably the worst in the league. Can wait for them to repeat what they did to hank with igor.
