Definitely watching to see the top two lines in action. Mercer doesn’t deserve the typical third line assignment, but that’s a fantastic line that will match up against anyone else’s 7-9 in the league. The entire top 9 would feel like anyone of them could carry the team on different nights.

Interested to see how that second line looks. Dont love Mercer having to play down the lineup but if those three have chemistry it might be the best 3rd line in the NHL.

Good changes to see.
The Haula-Palat-Mercer line will be really good to see, as it’s feasible we see that composition in some capacity during the season.
Meier-Hischer-Holtz will be interesting. Meier and Hischer obviously have played together in the past but im interested to see how Holtz handles playing top line with those boys.
Seigs and Hamilton will be a likely pairing during the season, so it’s good to see them together.

So stoked. Any reason we play most of our starters and other teams don’t? I was watching part of a replay of a Leafs preseason game earlier and none of their big names were playing.
I’m new to this, so I’m trying to understand

A lot depends on how well Holtz does.
If he shows improvement, we want him on the top line. Mercer with Palat and Haula would be a crazy third line.
Then you have McLeod and Nate and Foote.
