I'm not going to worry after 2 preseason games & not a lot of practice time.
According to the crap, worthless NY Rangers site, the rangers went from 48 players to 35 by sending 6 players to Hartford…48-6=35??? They also sent Ty Emberson to Hartford, but he's still on the Rangers at the same time. Maybe we have 2 Ty Emberson's??? The Rangers website has ALWAYS been the worst, but it keeps getting even worse.
I'm not too worried about laffy. He hasn't really been given enough minutes to really show what he can do. I do believe Kakko is ready for top 6 forward minutes, I'm not as sure about Laffy but there is only one why to find out what laffy can do and that's to also, give him top 6 forward minutes per game. if by like 20-30 games into the season and don't see consistent point production from Laffy, then switching him with Wheeler would be a solid plan B. I wanna see better puck control from Laffy this coming season but I have faith in him.
L can’t keep making excuses for laffy his biggest problem is between his eras and in nyc that is not a good place to have a problem. At some point he’s going to have to turn it up. He’s definitely painting himself into a corner pressure wise.
If you read up on Lafreniere’s summer he was on vacation and not on the ice or in the gym for most of it. And I get it. Relax. But not for 2 months. 2 weeks tops. Then back at the training. Inexcusable work ethic.
Didn’t emberson get claims by SJ sharks?? Or was that report wrong
If there’s a sport with a preseason has little to no value, it’s probably the NHL over the other three sports in North America
