Why on earth would Pinto take 1$m when everyone else is getting paid in Ottawa? They’ve mismanaged the situation.
5+ years younger, Zegras is where Nylander was 2 years ago; Leafs would need to add at least a #1 and maybe more. It’s a great deal if they can pull it off

This is the second video i have watched where it has been suggested that the leafs would have to add another player, or players along with Nylander, to entice the Ducks to trade Zegras. In what world does this make sense? Yes, Zegras is younger, but Nylander is a 40 goal scorer! Zegras is a 20 goal scorer. The Ducks would be recieving an absolute GIFT at one for one, and in my opinion, IF the leafs were to entertain a possible trade, then it is the Ducks who would need to sweeten the pot. Hands down. (This also all hinges on whether or not the Ducks are on Nylanders 10 team no-trade list) Just giving my thoughts.
If im pat verbena no way in hell I'm trading Nylander for zegras..be horrible for the ducks

Re: Habs goalie glut: I wish I had confidence in Primeau as the future goalie for Les Habs but he just hasn't shown the consistency yet to prove he's " that guy". Montembeault deserves a shot this year to be 1A with Allen as 1B…BUT…with Carey Price retired Les Habs are without a bonefide #1 goalie and that's going to be a real problem.
Re: Nylander and Zegras: I agree with @dazzgoleafsgo4999….the Leafs don't need to sweeten any deal….Little Willie is a bonefide scorer and while Zegras shows great promise and talent there's no way the Leafs should trade off extra valuable assets for Zegras.
As a Leafs fan with the Ducks being my second team great trade for both teams

Im not trading Nylander straight up for zegras. The ducks would have to add quite a lot. Zegras is way over rated, we dont need flashy we need defense, which Zegras is terrible at. How many teams in NHL history have won cups by lacking defense and going with a flashy, cocky player who can score a highlight reel goal once or twice a year, but has some of the worst defensive stats in the league? Trading a proven 80 plus point, 40 goal scorer like Willy who comes up big in the playoffs every year for an over rated cocky kid who sucks at defense, hasnt proven himself as anything more than a guy who sells jerseys. Keep him in California, they need a guy who sells merch. We need a huge top 4 defenceman who makes it tough to play against and makes opposition players wanna fake an illness to avoid playing the leafs. Dont get me wrong, i sometimes get sucked in too, some of that flashy shit is cool, but thats not hockey, thats not playing with possible career ending injuries, thats not grinding through pain for 2 months in the spring, and its not winning cups.
