[Mercogliano] That was the first time we’ve seen #NYR coach Peter Laviolette upset with his new team. He was *not* happy at all after that one. Called it “unacceptable” while questioning the team’s effort. “It’s not who we are or who we want to be… There’s no excuses for that.”

    There it is. Doesn’t matter who coaches this team… their lack of effort in the latter half of their single playoff round last season showed us who they are.

    You may say, “It’s just pre-season.” Sue it is, but the coach is livid as well.
