Les Canadiens ont cédé J. Dobes, R. Kidney, S. Farrell et W. Trudeau au Rocket de Laval, alors que D. Reinbacher a été prêté au HC Kloten en Suisse.
Makes sense, Doves played a good game tonight though.
thank god, go tear up the NL David!!!
Excellent news.
On any given night, our prospect pipeline can include the best defensemen in the NL, NCAA, and KHL… and maybe even the AHL if you’re very high on any specific guys there. Love to see it.
Kidney and Farrell were invisible today. Trudeau was alright and I can see him as one of the first call ups on D. I’m surprised that Barron has survived these cuts. Dobes played well, but I don’t think that they expected him to play tonight since they didn’t switch mid game. Reinbacher is a smart move. He saw what NHL ice and speed is like, now he can go home and work on what he needs to.
Uh, surprising that both Maillet and Andersson are still up. Same for Norlinder.
Hopefully some AHL time will help Farrell…I was really high on him
Francis Bouillon needs to work with all our Smol Kings, because they aint ready physically.
I’m not 100% sure how waiver work, but if they need to wait until tomorrow to put other players on waiver (so they are on waiver for 24h), Maillet and Lias Andersson will probably be sent down tomorrow.
Which mean that Heineman and Norlinder are still being evaluated. Good for them, I didn’t see that coming for Norlinder, getting this much PP time instead of Guhle. They probably want to see if he can be the new Wideman.
So who’s left on the youngsters ? Maillet, Ylonen, Norlinder, Heineman, Mailloux, Primeau, Andersson, Barron and Beck ?
I feel like this camp was best case scenario for Reinbacher. Left a very strong first impression, and now gets to go developp a full year with adults in Switzerland. Something we sadly didn’t do with KK and Slaf.
Just keeping enough depth around for 1 last preseason game. Expecting close to a full lineup on the very last preseason game.
Norlinder is given a real chance to prove himself with all that PP time. Too bad nothing’s coming of it. Was always a long shot anyway with how crowded the blueline is.
Reinbacher looked good even if the pace was a bit fast for him at times.
Nobody’s been a surprise this camp, one way or another.
The season of Hutson-Reinbacher is the season we stop sucking.
