I don't think people realize just how good Sandy was this year. His decision making, confidence, passing, zone exit, his QB on the PP. I don't think people realize how long it actually takes to polish those skills in the NHL and he was already doing it in his first year…
He's an absolute stud and in my mind is the #1 Defenseman on this team.
If you haven’t seen him live, in person, yet, you’re missing out. I brought my 13yo son to a game this season, and even he was like, “Whoa. Who’s 85? His defence is amazing.” And he was shocked when I said it was a rookie.

I love his confidence to join the rush, I've been following him since we drafted him. His first year at NoDak he was pretty uncomfortable joining the rush he's miles better. But tbf i saw a big improvement his next season at NoDak too. I've always felt like this guy just doesn't stop improving I couldn't even predict his ceiling.
