After 2 seasons with the Canucks, Spencer Martin is off to Columbus. When the Canucks acquired Casey DeSmith, the writing seemed to be on the wall for Martin.

Were you surprised that Martin got claimed? What will you remember most about his time with the Canucks?

A bit surprised, actullay. Remember him most for about 40 saves in the first games when he came in first for injured Thatcher Demko, that was just awesome 🫶
He started out well last year, but he got no help. Columbus is really the bottom feeder now I guess. First the Babs debacle, then taking a left over goalie from Vancouver
Finally Martin gone Benning core Dismantled 8 to go not much cap for Martin under 800,000Lefted restructure Martin was Miller 2.0 siffed was bad last season
I liked Spencer, another good goalie leaving Vancouver. You're only as good as the team in front of you.. so that didn't help his situation. Good luck Spencer, Columbus will be a fun young team to be around.
Not concerned about Canucks goaltending. It's the rest of the team I'm concerned about.
Better goalie than Demko, imho.
Canucks defense sucked while Martin was trying to stand on his head. We basically left them out to dry with a crap decor
does not matter another losing season for the Canucks .. third and fourth lines are bad .. defence not good enough and with no cap space. Rutheford and Allvin are slowly destroying them

Showed such promise in his early games with us. Too bad it slipped after. Sure, the team wasn't amazing, but he is clearly a backup at best, and now we have DeSmith. And although didn't have a great pre-season game, Silovz is clearly the next best player in 3rd position and has development ahead of him.
