  1. This year is the equivalent of the 2014 tampa… just finishing up the rebuild, yzerman put together a team for the mean-time, and then we go to the finals

  2. Truly every episode Daniella is featured is a great one. She always is so intelligent and charming. Loved the bonus Charlie sighting too!

  3. As a human named Charlie:

Why does everyone have (or has had at one point) a dog named Charlie?!

    Also, Daniella is great!

  4. A lot of the important prospects are getting points in pre-season play. A whole different out-look vs the prospect tourny. The future is bright.

  5. Brad, watch Marc Staal vs Alex Semin. It'll change your opinion on Kasper/Mantha…

  6. San Jose does have Thomas Bordeleau (2020 38th overall) and Eklund (2021 7th overall) who will for sure make the team. Plus Will Smith from the 2023 draft. Bystedt looks promising and they have Ozzy Weisblatt (2020 31st overall), who underperformed in the AHL but is still a 1st round prospect. Not crazy high talent level prospects but some decent prospects for just starting the rebuild

  7. * I think Danielson very well could earn his nine game tryout this year. He looks awesome out there on both sides of the puck, and it'd be interesting to see if he can ramp up to meet the stronger competition in the regular season.

    * I would argue that Ottawa shouldn't fancy themselves a playoff team. They have a good roster on paper, and Tkachuk is a great player, but to fancy onesself as a playoff team, they must first demonstrate the ability to clinch a spot.

  8. The McDavid hype train just keeps rolling no matter the failures. Edmonton will not get a cup with McDavid, Wings will win a cup before EDM or McDavid (on any team). If a team commits to not taking penalties they are consistently beatable.
