Dubois being contractually similar to Aho an other player the Canadiens got outbid on is quite ironic, though this time it was outbid in trade value not for the contract per se.
One thing i think most people undervalue on the Kings is their defensively capable forwards, multiple Selke candidates on one team might be enough to compensate for the D-Core.

Goaltending is my only real worry. I think LA is deep enough to compete. 3 strong centers down the middle and Fiala is going to lead the team in points on the 3rd line matching up with other teams bottom 6.

Your wild card team had104 points last season, analysis of the coaching was right on however, Kings may challenge for division win but Todd sadly rolls into playoffs and plays same game as in March and always just misses the gold ring, Players are not the issue it is brave coaching that is the issue and team is getting deeper every year, Pl dubois will make an excellent 2nd center because he is playing with some amazing talent, Kings goaltending will be much better than anyone expects but it all comes down to todd as the bottleneck
