    Sounds like the maintenance day decision was made by the staff (aka go enjoy your birthday with your fam). Big year for the vet. Wild to think he’s 40

    He looked a step behind so far. I bet they manage his games/minutes a lot more this year.

    His age was really evident during the playoffs.

    I guess being 40 and routinely eating hundreds of blocked shots a year catches up to you. One last time around the sun.

    I got a feeling Gio will only see about 40 games this year. Will be good depth for the playoffs though if he’s well rested.
