Really stoked about what I saw from OEL. I also think Samo has a real shot to make the team. Would like him on 3rd line. Think we have a hole at that wing spot.

It's a good position to be in to have an expendable cousins as a a weak spot in the line up. Better depth and an improved defense will make them atleast 10 wins better this season over last. Go Cats
Also – I think Samoskevich played in the AHL last year. He was in college the year before, if i recall correctly. Either that or he came up to the AHL halfway through the season. I think he is ready. He was picked 24th or something, so he is no slouch. We need good, young, hungry talent on this team and let the aging vets sign in Arizona or something.

More of wishful thinking on my end, but if Calgary has another mediocre season (which I do not think so) I could see like Carlsson and Kiersted be part of a package to land Hanafin (only issue would be working the cap)
Be cautious gents it is only the 2nd preseason game and they are playing the Predators B team so I am cautiously optimistic! I am still concerned with the improvements the teams made within our conference/ division. There are no more "easy" wins; points in the bank early is going to be sooooooooooooooo important this season as it always is.
You can play left-wing as a right-handed shot and vice versa no problem Some players have a better shot from the opposite side
Just and FYI the Canes are streaming tonight's game vs Tampa so they will most likely be streaming tomorrow

Tip was on the ice with talent while he was here. He didn't do a whole lot with it my friend. And yes Tip did well for his standards last season. But it ain't no guarantee. Franky V scored over 20 with us just about the same age as Tip during his "breakout" year around 24-25 years old. Pleasant surprise for us. Frank didn't get back to that mark until 4 seasons and 2 teams later. Glad Zito gambled and traded Tip for more firepower when we were basically on top of the league. Tip got us G and G helped us believe we could actually win a series again
