I've been saying for so long that Dorion needed to make a call on some guys, specifically JBD and Thomson. Either commit or trade them in a package before other teams stop valuing them as 1st round prospects.Same goes for guys like Boucher and Jarventie.

I agree with Mitch. Batherson is our best line driver after Timmy. Him on the 3rd line would be awesome. Kubalik-Pinto-Batherson would be deadly!
The asset management has been poor. That said, given this mess I'd rather focus on getting Pinto back in the lineup (by whatever means), as cover for Norris's potential injury situation is paramount.
True that this is the business of hockey However that woke Covid BS took an entire year of development for all these guys Love Egor but Smejkal out performed him MacEwen will probably be waived too.
I don't like that the sens had their starting D units out there, and the Sens were still badly outshot, makes me worry Smith has to go. Counting on your goalie to make 10 more saves a night than the opposing tender, is a recipe for disaster.

I really like PD…he's had summers dedicated to him, built an amazing core and locked them in, traded for Chychrun (got his jersey now), dealt with the Debrincat mess well, signed decent FA's (Korpisalo, Tarasenko, Hamonic…even like MacEwen)…the only issue is cap. JBD 2 year 1-way deal was a mistake. Zub (love him) at 4 year/$4.6 may have been a mistake. Branny at $2M a mistake? New ownership is observing…

Not many teams after Anaheim would have claimed Lassi Thompson, those lower tier teams can afford to take a risk with their lineup for a potential payoff where the player feels like they are needed and they play better as a result. No doubt Lassi succeeds, and same with JBD and Egor if they get claimed.
