And the backup battle is down to Ersson and Sandstrom. My money is on Ersson winning out.

Shedding Petersens salary in the minors is a smart move, and if he somehow rebounds and finds his name down there during his contract all the better. If not maybe he gets a cheap deal down the road as a 3rd string
Felix deserves a chance with this team just as much as Farabee and Frost etc. Its not Felix fault he was playing behind the worst defensive corps ive ever seen. We put him in on the ass end of so many back to backs and a few were against big boy teams.
We let Bobrovsky go for doing the same thing in the playoffs one time remember?
No surprises here. But it must be a rough start for Cal’s change of scenery reboot.
Ersson could be legit, given the right roster, look at last year he started off 6-0 with that Flyers team.
No surprise on either. Laczynski isn’t a Tortorella favorite and never quite looked an an NHL player while Petersen sucked his 1st game.
