Really curios to see what will happen with Ville Heinola as they lost that guy on waivers already to Penguins. Besides the obvious player I'm not sure who should stay or go for the blue line really. Goalie I'm hoping rebounds as he might want to get traded or a new contract. Problem is the Goalie Market is like 3 to 4M in salary not this paying guys 8M or 10M or even 5M anymore heh. I've thought about looking into Jets prospects as GM has drafted some really good players but not sure who is last one :). I'm wondering was it making bad picks or trades or what kinda is problem. Islanders gave up on Chara who was like first 6'7 D-man that I can recall :). If the guy has size then you gotta keep him around ;). Problem is D-men usually not in Prime until 28 or 30 while Forwards its like 25. Things never seem to go well for JEts either way :).
I'd rather them just trade him, I honestly don't think he has much of an upside with the jets, his defense isn't great and honestly we don't need more offensive defenseman, we need a revamp on defense, only one that should stay is Morrissey
The Schmidt and Pionk contracts bother me. PLUS, I'd rather see 2 younger guys in those spots anyway. But, the Jets being the Jets, they are going to burn some of those young D-men in order to keep those two. I can see that happening. The D-problem should have been resolved by now. It's been obvious for over a year.
It iritates fans so if definitely effects players.
I would say not just Ville would be mad,but what does it show Lambert,Salomonsson,Lucius,Mcgroarty,Barlow when their time comes? Back to Moose.
I know Schmidt contract but why can't move Demelo or easier contract even as 7th guy and move out a Chisholm/Stanley but don't lose for nothing. Even if it's a similar trade Gawanke get something back.
