    Thats why I never liked reeves. The show boating. Probert never liked it either, he just beat your ass not taking shit. Reeves must not punch hard cuz that guy took it like a champ! No need to bad mouth after words. All the guy wanted was a fight!

    Reaves does become a dumbass when he fights. Gabriel was just asking for a fight, he wasn't trash talking Reaves. I guess it's a rare moment where Reaves feels useful in a hockey game.

    By today’s standards this was a big fight I guess. Search Bob Probert, Tie Domi, Stu Grimson, Dave Brown, Dave Schultz, Joey Kucar, or just search hockey fights from the 70’, 80’s, or 90’s. And btw, I’m a Rangers fan and I’m not impressed with Ryan Reaves (healthy scratch vs the Lightning in the Eastern Conference finals this year).

    Gabriel wasn't going for a body shot, he was going for the uppercut. Reaves is a classless jerk off. He's bad for the game. He gives the enforcer roll a bad name. Those guys (enforcers in general) usually get along with each other of the ice. They fight for their team, not themselves. Reaves, by the way he acts, fights for himself.

    I like hockey but hockey fights are soooo freaking pointless. Seriously. I mean I get it. Fights might get the crowd going, might defend their “star” players but it has zero strategic advantage on the actual game. Then, what if ya need that SAME player again but cant cuz his hands are messed up from fighting. Exactly!! Pointless.

    And I know some of y’all gonna say “you don’t know what you’re talking about man, and this and that, blah blah blah”. I can feel some of you getting triggered already.

    After almost 50 years the same old bullsh-t still exists in hockey. People with very limited skill apparently still find a place at the table in the NHL. Dave Shultz sucked as a hockey player, yet there he was. Now it's Ryan Reeves. It would be totally different if they could fight AND play. Say like Cam Neeley for instance,or Wendel Clark.
