It was a clean hit he’s a primadonna. He’s just salty he’s always hurt.
I’d actually rather Boston had won the Stanley cup over Vegas. Couldn’t have been a less deserving team. Filled with whiny babies and especially mark stone and eichel.
Hopefully that whole VGK line got misconducts for that scrum because the Panthers got that treatment last year in the cup finals.
Salty bro, you just won a cup. If your back hurts sit down.
I hate when players act like you're not allowed to body check a guy if he's too good. That response from Mark Stone was worse than pathetic. Marchand had it right.
They’re all smug when bad calls go their way but as soon as the tables turn and the situation isn’t in their favor they throw tantrums, the Karen’s of hockey
Sincerely a Florida Panthers Fan 🐆
if he is going to cry than hopefully stone gets more hits like that so he gets the idea
Agreed! I Lost a lot of respect for Stone. The guy is fighting for a spot in the league.
Mark Stone pretending to act surprised when he gets hit hard in a sport where it is literally common practice and encouraged for players to hit each other at top speed: 🤯🤯🤯🤯
You left out the part of the Marchand interview where he said he would of reacted the same way lol. Not gonna defend Stones comments either that was uncalled for. As for the players reacting if that was McDavid or Matthews you think their teammates would not react?
You definitely have a refreshing perspective on this. To an extent I agree. But there's still a part of me that feels it's valid to expect limited physicality. Star players getting injured in preseason is bad for the league, and precautions should be taken to avoid that. I get some players are playing for their job, but I'd personally rather see Stone play a full healthy season, than some no-name make his team in a limited role.
Screw the AHL nobody for trying to run Stone.
Mark pebble
dumb lines like: "That's the last time I ever play against that guy" have a way to come back to bite people
The NHL (that is both league officials and players) can't decide what it wants to be. It pretends to be a physical league/game yet complains when the physicality works against their interests. A team loves a hard check, until their star player goes down from one. In the moment, I can see why the Knights reacted like they did. It's OK. But in the post game interview, upon reflection, Stone should have said, "It was a good check, and he caught me being lazy in the middle of an NHL game. That's on me, not him." I would have respected that, a lot. Stone needs to grow up.
I don’t even mind the scrum after the hit. I know that it does get annoying when it happens all the time but people are gonna stand up for their star. No issue with that. But stone punching-down on a guy like that in the interview is just lame
Absolute clean hit. Stone wouldn't have survived back in the old days. Even guys in my beer league wouldn't cry about a hit like that.
That interview right there is the perfect example of how pussified the league has gotten
Kudos to the guy that delivered the hit. Stone should have kept his head up and mouth shut. That’s what it takes.
You nailed it. Now Hodgeson is going to get interest & offers. That's who I want on my team. Good for him.
Stone shouldn't talk about who's going to be in the NHL and not, he will never play a full season again. Not capable. Broken back. He's a part-time wannabe
He got his cup, his job is to sell jerseys and go away
Cassidy wanted that cup, and Stone's careers going to pay for it.
Why is that not charging?
