  1. I mean, it’s clearly a cap space move. Free agency is right around the corner. Maybe Kenny has something lined up

  2. It's not so much that we didn't get anything for yamo as a buyout would have been worse, but not getting anything for Kostin is just plain terrible asset management.

  3. Yamo… what would anyone offer? he's not exactly done ANYTHING playing with DRAISAITL AND MCDAVID a significant amount of time. Injured all the time.. small… he's fiesty and fun, that doesnt get you far in the nhl

  4. For yamo? No I’m really not surprised we didn’t get anything for him I thought that’s what we were expecting? It was a pure camp dump

  5. Ah yes oilers wins this trade because we have future considerations on our team… Thanks ken holland!

  6. Future considerations basically means that he will buy Kenny dinner next time they see each other lol, it’s basically just a thing so teams don’t have to give guys away for “free”

  7. Future considerations will be dependent on Kostin contract extension. Rumour is he might return to KHL.

  8. Well… Taking the Campbell contract off the Oilers books for perhaps Husso? I know it's not likely, but Edmonton could save a quarter million per year on the contract and end up with an objectively better goaltender in the process. It's kind of an open IOU on the books now.

  9. So where's the oilers going to fine other kostin Holland is the worse gm he needs to be fired

  10. What does it mean? It means they freed up $3M to sign Ryan and McLeod. Nurse will be gone in the next two years so they can give Draisaitl the $13M a year he's going to want/get from someone. They'll be future consideration for that one too. They'll be able to give Bouchard his big boy contract. Remember how effective Yamamoto was last year? Me neither. If hed developed i to the 3GG 70Pnt player we thought hed be he wouldnt have been traded. If there was ANY value in his contract something would have come back. This was a salary dump, nothing more. Nurse will be in Arizona or somewhere else next year too. Draisaitl will be getting McDavid money next year, and the Oilers have to re-sign him to have a chance of keeping 97. Anything they do to keep them both is justified. They'll have to give something up to get rid of Campbell's contract as well.

  11. Future considerations working out: Max Pacioretty traded to Carolina. Vegas won the cup the next year.

  12. future considerations as in consider the potential for the 2 players since they are both what? 24 years old?

  13. Totally 100% agree
Klim Instant impact on the team we need grit with Scoring now!!
4 years too long Yammo can’t handle post season.
Stevie used his Red Wing Connection and stole Klim.
Holland seems give up a bit much in return.

  14. I totaly understand that edmonton not get anything for that useles little boy YAMAMOTO i am just so unbelivebel happy that i dont have to se him playing in edmonton anymore YAMAMOTO =KATASTROF BUT clim costin that is just a totaly crasy trade what is ken Holland thinking whit i just Wonder IF he dont have any brain at al its just a big KATASTROF that edmonton is trading away costin but they are kepping DEREK USELES RYAN my god i dont have any words for this unbelivebel mistake costin is 100 times better ishockey player then DEREK RYAN ever gonna be NO WONDER AT AL THAT EDMONTON NEVER EVER IS WINNING THE STANLEY CUP TROFE LllllOoooooLllllll

  15. Yamamoto is being waived by Detroit a day later so this is a weird move by both teams. So he might head back to Edmonton.

  16. Kostin wants to go back to Russia and Yam is a 5' 8" part timer who's injury prone. We did Holland a favor and helped him dump some salary.

  17. As a Wings fan, I have to say that I am beyond excited that Yzerman got Kostin for essentially nothing ($500K over the next two seasons..cost of buying out Yamomoto. For a team with over $30M in cap space, that’s peanuts). Kostin is the exact type of player that Detroit needs, moving forward. Ever since he was drafted to St. Louis, I’ve always low key wanted Kostin to be a Red Wing. Now that he is, I will definitely be buying myself a Kostin jersey.

  18. I dont understand this guy ho is talking here i am totaly understand that no team in nhl want 2 give anything for that useles little YAMAMOTO he is not any nhl player at al lol

  19. Yamamoto is coming back to his home State. As a Kraken fan how should I feel about this 1 year signing? If healthy does he help our roster, thoughts?
