  1. So, the Sens waived two of their best prospects after losing their 2019 first rounder a couple days ago. That's some Ottawa magic.

  2. Dorian with excellent asset management here waiving 2 former first round picks in 2 days. Just wait for the next few days where he trades another first round pick the trade a Joseph contract I criticized at the time it was signed this is why you don't throw away your cap space. Dorian is really good with young players, but man does he overpay depth guys with no finish.

  3. 3:25 "Why will it be the Sharks?" The Sharks are on a quest to, at least briefly, have all of the first rounders from 2018 in their system. They have Zadina right now, they took Merkley in that draft, Merkley was involved in the trade to acquire Kaut, and in the EK65 trade there were rumors that they'd be after Ty Smith. They also grabbed the less skilled older brother of Andrei Svechnikov!

  4. Really helping Scoronato continues producing in the regular season. I don't know how many times I've seen a flame do great in preseason then get like 1 or 2 points in the 1st 10ish games

  5. If this were two years ago, I'd ring the alarm bells over waiving JBD however – he's had a terrible camp (again), every one of his stat lines have regressed in the AHL, every call-up to the big team has been underwhelming (2 pts in 32 GP over three seasons) and penalties are the only stat on the uptick. If he's getting ice time for his defensive game, I want to see noticeable improvements.

  6. It's always something with Ottawa, whether it's the owner, GM, coach, arena plans, asset management, book keeping on salaries / signings or price of snacks.

Why can't you be normal and do things right / as others do them, why?! Don't sign Joseph to a bloated deal, get rid of Hamonic in time and get some picks back for your former draft selections, at least the 1st rounders man. It's not that difficult.

  7. People have the audacity to call the Senators a playoff shoe-in with dumb roster decisions like this, including losing their '19 first round pick…

  8. Dorion is a idiot…why train your first round picks for 2-3 years then give away for nothing…save Max Quenette who does not need waivers ? why sign Sokolov then waive him…wasted years training these guys..

  9. The Canucks should grab Bernard-Docker off of waivers, because it's just like getting another 1st round draft pick.

  10. im guessing people aren't familiar with tgne waiver rules….its JBD's 3rd year as a pro and waivers are automatic if you get sent down to the Ahl in your 3rd year

  11. Bernard-Docker has not developed as the team hoped; they watched him and so did we all and he looks just like he did last season, not quite NHL level. Can another team turn this around – Arizona might.

  12. Karlsson already putting his stamp on that Penguins steam with that Senators game. An embarrassing loss for the team, and about 18 or 19 giveaways for Karlsson personally. Biggest positive contribution of the evening was an embarrassing, pathetic dive after another giveaway, that of course was called a penalty since Pittsburgh can't be given anything less than a thousand powerplays per game.

  13. Univ. North Dakota alumni with recent ties to Ottawa : Pinto, Wolanin, Sanderson, JBD, Tyler Kleven. With Bernard-Docker gone, does that affect how much Pinto wants to stay?

  14. Love seeing my Belleville senators jersey in a video, sucks that it involves key players like JBD & Sokolov on waivers

  15. Korpisalo looked great. The Penguins did not. Those power play were embarrassing. Hopefully Guentzel coming back will kickstart the offense, I feel like there's a decent chance it will

  16. Sens have lots of prospects to replace Sokolov & JBD & Lassi. No big deal. Plus with the cap they gain they can resign Pinto.

  17. Of course Korpisalo ruined Crosby's feel good story. He's a finn, they don't know what feel good stories are.

  18. The Lightning/Panthers game was played in Orlando yesterday, and was a hell of a game to watch. Those teams do NOT like each other and thereā€™s still 2 more games of that. Better preseason game than some regular season games Iā€™ve been to!
