Lombardi was flying during the prospects tourney and hasn't stopped. He will be up soon. Edvinsson should be on the roster for season starter. Yes, Simon is still learning, but he is that good. To think that, not that I want injuries but they happen, 2 or 3 of the young guys will have significant time with the Wings this year, just bodes well for the team as a whole. If that happens then we see from year to year a turn over with young guys that keeps that pipeline open and good, fresh, young players coming up could make us a powerhouse for years. LGRW 🏒

Meanwhile, it is very clear that the Wings have a huge problem with Chiarot and Holl. It is hard to tell who is worse, both are just absolutely pathetic. If the Wings play those two clowns together as a 3rd pairing, the team has basically gifted the other team AT LEAST 2-3 goals that night

Not perfect and had a hard time fitting everyone i want, but it has skill, scoring depth, defensive responsibility, and grit up and down the line. Id waive chiarot and keep fischer/veleno as a reserve

I can see Edvinsson going to GR long enough to get a good return on Maataa (or another D man.) It’s not like the Wings need Edvinsson to win their first 4-5 games this season. And it won’t destroy his development to get big minutes in GR for a week or two.
So instead of cutting a D and having the cap get hit, hang for a week or two and see if you can move a guy for a draft pick and no cap hit to make room for Simon.
I think as of right now Danielson has made the team to start the season, at least for a 9 game tryout. I just don’t know who doesn’t make the team while he’s here. They can move Bergg down with no penalties.
The wings have like 16 forwards that can play. So… now what?
There will be a tough call with Danielson. Hes almost ready, if not already. Do you send him back to the WHL? because development wise he needs to be playing better competition than he will get in the whl, but he cant go to the AHL yet. I wouldnt be suprised if he makes the roster if only because the front office might think it would hurt more than help sending him back to the whl. As far as Ed, Chairot sits. Hands down, not even a question. Not taking salary into account, but icing the best team. After all Yzerman had no problem sending Ned back to the AHL.
