Driving me crazy all week…"the play of these kids are making tough decisions" The only thing remotely a decision about it is which underperforming veteran gets to be the 13th forward. I must say that Coyled centered line looked really good for two shifts there. Guess that's enough to keep Poitras 3C, I mean for only 9 games to test him more.
Only comment I have, and this is regurgitation – heard it somewhere else – is send Lohrei to the baby Bs to get more minutes to hammer in the defensive position (remember, he's a convert). I don't feel strongly one way or another at this point but I thought it was worth mentioning that other development concept for him. I still trust management (Sweeney was my first jersey back when he was Borque's linemate) & coaching to make a good decision there. That being said, I like your projected lineup. Keep up the great low quality vids!
Our opening night rosters are definitely very similar. Only real differences is I have Marchy on the 1st line with Zacha and Pasta, which means JVR is on the second line with Coyle and Debrusk, and I have Greer as 4RW with Lauko being 13th man, Boqvist 14th man, and I have Mitchell as opening night 7th D. That left the team with 9k with sending people like Zboril and Forbort to the AHL but definitely can send one of the extra forwards down to have Zboril or Forbort as that 7th D instead.
As much as Forbort is a bit of a low hanging fruit. Last season he was the reason out PK was so dominant. Without Bergeron, he will be the main reason our PK SHOULD remain stable. Love or hate the man, he can prove beneficial to Lohrei too, has some age and experience…not close enough to a Big Z, but best we have.
Apologies if I misspelled any names. Not looking at the roster, going off by heart.
I don’t know if you are capable of seeing anything positive from Forbort anymore. But he killed like a minute of that double major himself. I do think his first couple of shifts were bad, but like Greer he got a lot better as the game went on.
That’s disappointing that Greer hasn’t taken a step forward this year. Was hoping he could develop into a third liner.
Thank goodness Forbort only has one year left on his deal. Hopefully he can still be a serviceable third pair stay at home D. If he is hopefully we can trade him for a late pick to a team who needs a guy like that.
The B's looked okay, last night. Coyle was a beast. After last season, it's hard for me to worry about the regular season, just make the playoffs. Play the young guys now, let them gain experience. Come playoff time they should be fully ready. As far as Forbort, last year his play was pretty good, until the playoffs. Then he fell off the face of the earth. (He wasn't alone.) The RW maybe an issue, after Pasta pretty big drop off in talent.
I think Lucic brings a lot more to the table than you give him credit for. Intimidation is a real thing in the NHL and when is the last time the Bruins win a fight? Plus in the only game I saw him play he looked better than half the players on the ice. Just saying.
How the fuck did Forbort break two sticks on the same shift last night? I was playing DND so I was only half paying attention, but I saw him block a shot with his stick, break it, and Beecher give his stick away. I was focusing on Beecher defending without a stick, then looked away for ten seconds to kill a goblin, and I look back and Forbort is without a stick again! How?!

Can't wait until Matt Poitras outplays Bedard next week…Ok maybe not but I want a reason to laugh at the Blackhawks.

WOOOOOOO always love a DUB! GO B's!
Like your line up mostly. Still would need to answer who is pking on the left side. Guess we give gryz a shot? Overburden the rookie?
In fairness lohrei is probably only person I’d play over Forbort. So i don’t hate trying out. But I’m pretty sure Forbort will get the spot.
"Do you wan to have a 15 minute conversation on Poitras Lohrei and Beecher…"
yes…yes I do
If the kid is not on the opening day roster, just tell me what time the bus leaves. I'll bring the rope.

Hey, hey, remember when we started Forbort over Gryz in the playoffs, and then Forbort ended up being one of our worst defensemen….that was cool.
Lohrei stays… zubril goes!!! I’d even put poitras with marcchy…. Could 3rd line where he’s best….hoping poitras can hold up to a long season….
Let's goooo !!!
Love the videos! Keep ‘em comin because I try to talk to people like this about the Bs and they just get lost
JVR – Zacha – Pasta
Marchy – Poitras – Snake
Heinen – Coyle – Geekie
Lucic – Beecher – Freddie
Stallion – Lindy
Lohrei – Carlo
Shatty – Gryz
