  1. If you're referencing the SportsNet article about Dr. McGregor, he's actually described as an exercise physiologist, not an infectious diseases expert. When referencing this stuff, qualifications and credibility of sources means something, it can't just be this guy's a doctor of some kind that agrees with my point of view so it's therefore fact…
I get it though, it's exhausting, we all want life to go back to normal, fans in the stands all that good stuff… My wife's a health inspector so naturally the pandemic's been front and center 24/7 in our house since March, it's been absolutely exhausting.

Anyway, don't get your hopes up on that article alone, health officials wouldn't consider that credible.

  2. I think Seattle is gonna be more average than Vegas in year 1. However, I think if they utilize free agency properly, they can become a top contender.

  3. The Ducks certainly know how to draft goalies. In just a few years they’ve gotten John Gibson, Freddie Andersen, and now Dostal.

  4. Dostal was last year best goalie and will be this year too… but i hope he doesn't get backup job from ducks othervise my team is in trouble

  5. Without body checks they could might as well play floorball. And there's talk locally that Melker Karlsson will play for Skellefteå AIK, his ''hometown'' team. He said to the local newpaper that if he don't hear anything from NHL soon he will probably sign in the SHL.

  6. I’m thinking guys that will be bought out of there contracts down the road are David Backes Andrew Ladd Louis Eriksson Zach Parise and Ryan Suter

  7. I'm leaning towards value game for Seattle. Teams are experienced from Vegas entering the league. The cap situation can force teams to give up their assets furter down the road. There are players that look appealing right now but it isn't wise to build a core that might be past their prime soon. Seattle should be patient and try to be competitive in their 3rd year rather than overpay for position right away // take heavier contracts that expires in a year or two to be above the floor.

  8. The OHL body checking deal is just incredibly dumb, a poor joke. Either you play the game or you don't. The precautions should be off the ice, before the players enters the locker rooms.

Great stats for Dostal. I personally would hold back my expectations on goalies based on stats only but it looks promising no doubt. The skill level difference is one thing but the change in culture, style of game played, travel and increassed pressure are things that will have an effect mentally. It's hard to predict young European goaltenders.

  9. I think everything is a risk. The virus has been shown to be airborne to the point of finding it inside vents, not just travelling through water droplets. But yeah, granted everything else in a hockey game is just as likely to spread it.

  10. As a Ducks and Ilves fan I have to say I feel super lucky having Dostal in my favorite team, wether it's in the NHL or here in Liiga. I fell in love with his way of playing in the net from the first game I saw him couple of years ago. He keeps challenging forwards all the time, keeps finding pucks through traffic and what I love about him most is that he looks so relaxed all the time, because he doesn't have to make any big saves or huge dives, because he is almost all the time positioning himself correctly. If he can, and I don't see why wouldn't he, keep improving to the NHL-level and beyond that I think that he is going to be one of if not the best goalie in the NHL in 5 years of time.

  11. Lukas Dostal comes from my city – I watched him as a junior player and as a senior in a Pro Czech leagues.
There was a lot of hype around this kid and honestly I was surprised he went that late in the draft of 2018.

  12. If I was the Seattle GM, I'd definitely draft for youth and potential. Taking the slow approach to building the team is the play to me. I hope that the ownership group gives Ron time (4-5 years).

  13. Can Seattle sign someone like Melker Karlsson, if unsigned, for next year and have them play in Europe this year?

  14. Brides, if caught in the rain, slowly start to melt just like the Wicked Witch of the West. It's a slower decay because they're usually wearing white and for some reason clothes that are white melt slower on wedding days. That's why you shouldn't wear white to a wedding; to cut back on the deaths.

  15. A fast skating hockey player, with puck handling skills, is great to watch. A fast skating hockey player, with puck handling skills has to watch for the player with the skills to knock you into next week. Just watched reactions to greatest hits, poor kid at the end.

  16. I think if you were married to Axl in the 80's, you would be happy to live for more than 5 minutes more.
