Alexander Holtz ready for lead role as youth shines for New Jersey Devils in split-squad games

Alexander Holtz put together the two-way performance fans needed to see in the pre-season opener. For a player very much under the microscope the Devils young offensive talent looks poised to emerge as a key figure this season.
Tyce Thompson and Santeri Hatakka also showcased the Devils AHL depth, and potentially the next wave of in-season call ups. The guys are deligghted by Jesper Bratt’s mid-season form and discuss how the top lines could shape up with Jack Hughes.
They also look at some promising results on the Power Play as well as a tactical shiftt away from the dump and chase mentality – one which Adam has long viewed as damning to the on puck talent possession the Devils have.
Itt is a deep ranging and excited look at how the Devils enter the pre-season, how Lindy Ruff will explore player combinations, and the depth New Jersey brings to the season ahead!

  1. Bahl will not play with Hughes. Both are left-handed. Forget that Luke played the right side in Michigan. He won't consistently in the NHL. Unless there ate big injuries.
