The Low Blow Controversy – The Bottom Line in Oleksandr Usyk’s victory against Daniel Dubois

  1. Definitely definitely NOT a low blow. Look at the famous Ali VS Foreman. Ali must have got hit with 50 “low blows.” They were in the same exact region as USYK. He never went down and low blows weren’t called. A low blow is and always was in the groin area NOT in the lower abdominal. Just stop it. This is a disgrace.

  2. Either was a low blow or not he shouldn’t have be resting 5 plus minutes.
The shot was not a low blow, but very close to it.
Should have given 30 second max.
    5 minutes is a robbery

  3. Dubois try a couple times to do it, before the low blow, usick complain about it also you can see it in the video

  4. Place it slow motion, go to settings, set playback speed on 0.50X at around 1:58.
You’ll make yourself sure that IS A BELLY SHOT.
    NOT A LOW BLOW.
It’s not easy in real time anyway using this way we can clearly see.
    A REMATCH MUST HAPPEN.

  5. It was not on the belt it was below (the replay). Dubois otherwise couldn't hang with Usyk and was dispatched in rd. 9. No question…Frank Warren and Fury are afraid of Usyk. Much to do about nothing. You and Danny got TKO,ed Frank. Meanwhile Fury makes a circus of the sweet science.

  6. YEAH THATS LOW BLOW !! AND VERY HURT!!! BUT YOU KNOW USYKs WEAKNESS NOW !!! GIVE HIM LOW STOMACH ATTACK COMBOS !!!

  7. A good cool headed take. Rummy is always an interesting listen. In my opinion Usyk is a real master of this art. Calm and focused; with an inhuman dedication for training both mind and body. Nobody is as fit as him, he never gets gassed out, never seen him got dazed by a shot like Wilder for I don't know how many rounds against Fury for example. I think Fury vs Usyk will be a match for ages and I think the secret favorite is Usyk at this point. Imagine the gassed out Fury in Wilder fight against a late-round-dominating, fast–for-a-cruiser-weight Usyk. Imagine what he will do to Fury in that state, how easily and how densely the punches will pour. Also in terms of professional consistency Fury is not even in Usyk's league. Fury has only one clear advantage; he is taller is all. But can he win? Definately. Fury is the same kind as Usyk; he is a master boxer too. He can find a way before Usyk does. For sure.

  8. to me, it was a legal blow, but the whole fight was highly politicized that the ref was pressured by the highly charged atmosphere to favor Usyk heavily. Outside of underhanded payments, that is the only explanation I can see why Pabon scolded Dubois every single time Usyk complained. Dubois is a quitter that somehow weaseled his way into an undeserved title shot (thanks to Warren) so the controversy can be forgotten and lets move on.

  9. It was in line with the button, and seemingly a little below. A perfectly placed punch actually. But i think, if Usyk didn't go down, the fight would have gone on like normal. I think the Ref acted of Usyk's reaction. Lucky for Usyk.

  10. Usyk showed hes got no chance whatsoever agienst Fury in that fight. Hes smaller, slower, much weaker, less durable and potentially even less technical. After that weak preformance and the cheating needed to bail him out agienst an extremely weak opppnent? Usyk should really avoid that fight. Honestly i would favor Wilder over Usyk too, the guy who is really being exposed in all of this was Joshua

  11. If yapping and blaming the "low blow" dubois all have, then he is not ready to be in the big leagues😊

  12. The punch was close could go either way and would be a controversy in either direction. I did not like Usyk asking the ref for help on legal body blows. It was also odd that Usyk did not show the behavior of someone hit low, no adjustment of the cup, grabbing of the groin or shaking his legs out. He was on all fours and stood up breathing heavily and it resembled the behavior of someone who had the wind knocked out of him. I know its totally anecdotal, it was just odd
