I feel like the Reinbacher comp to Petry isn't accurate he'll fir sure be a steadier dman than Petry by far
If Popcorn compares with Petry, then, we got screwed taking him at fith.
Goalies are NOT factors in winning a cup you build your team first then maybe worry about a very small impact goalie.
Reinbacher will not be a high offensive D on MTL because our forwards are horrible.IMO 99% hockey fans do not get it all they do is look at goals and assists and think that means everything.
You need a TEAM not individual points and i would have thought people woke up to reality seeing Vegas win the cup with low output offense.People were saying the goalie was great NO it is the team in front of that goalie that makes him look good.
Hockey IQ trumps ANYU skill and training ANY coach.Working on Slafkovskys cardio Reinbachers stride is lol to me.TEACH them how to THINK on the ICE then they will make improvements that matter.

Odds are reinbacher will turn out worst than petry 🤦♂ we have an amazing GM but we also have one of the worst scouting in nhl history , I miss Timmins already
Popcorn I think will be as smart with his hockey iq like Markov and be on the pp1 and be on the pk1 like Savard or Robinson this player is going to be a Montreal hall of Fame player once his career is over . He will be one of those special players who controls the flow and will elevate his play at where it counts . And will be close to if not over a point per game come playoff time. He is some kind of blend of Robinson, Savard, Lapointe with pp1 hockey sense of A Markov.
I prefer to develop our own Goalie since we put so many resources into it with Dobes and the 3 guys drafted this summer. Knight is a good prospect but it's too early to give up on Monty unless we plan on getting rid of Allen when getting Knight. If we are prepared to part ways with Allen then sure. Monty and Knight with Dobes in Laval would be nice. Knight would cost a lot. I would offer Primeau a 1st round pick and a decent forward or D prospect like Mysak or Struble.
Any time Montreal wants to trade a goalie we get a loud reminder that goalies just aren’t worth very much on the market. Then when Montreal wants to pick up a goalie? Oh well it’s gonna cost a 1st round pick and a dozen prospects. 😂
