I was there at the Detroit game yesterday and Nylander was by far playing the best and fastest game. He’s gonna get 50 goals this season.

Nylander is better than Marner so how can he not want the same money? One of them has to go next season.
Bill Nylander is an elite high skill RW in his prime. He will, barring injury, score 40 again this year. The problem to me, and many others is his attention to detail when it comes to playing D. He is a lightweight in his own zone & that's why Matthews & Marner get paid more. If Bill put the same effort into keeping the puck out of his own net that those two do, then he'd be a 10M player. I keep hoping he'll buy-in, but he was -4 in the post season while Matthews & Marner were plus players (Marner was +9 vs Tampa & Bill -2).
Nylander is the best Canadian born player they have. Pay the man!
Guys a floater, capitalizing on his linemates efforts, come playoffs his linemates are exhausted from carrying his ass all year.
Nylander and Spezza were the best players against the Habs in those playoffs
He's always been an elite offensive player. The reason he isn't worth top dollar is his defense or lack there of. He also takes games off effort wise. Don't get me wrong I think he's a great player but he has some flaws.
Yeah it would be such bad news if Willy plays great this year.
We would so much rather him play terrible so we can keep him around.

I think you conflate producing points with being the best player. He is very rarely the best player on the ice. It happens, but not very often.
If I’m Willy I’m asking for a 2 year 18m $ contract to try a couple more times with the core while also proving I can make 13-14 mil down the road as a star

There is a lot of teams if he went to he would be their best player. What I like about Nylander is he loves to play and when you really need a goal he can get it.If the leafs don't want to pay I will cheer for what ever team he goes to.
They faced detroits ahl team and got taken to overtime that's not a good look lol
He has the 10.5M in skill but you never know if he feels like putting in effort each game😢

How come Toronto can have that much superstars and not be broke. Nylander would probably be a franchise player in any other team, but he's got Mathews, Marner and Tavares in the way.
They need to sign him for 1 year cheap and wait for Tavares to take a hometown discount to sign a long term deal
leafs cant pay their second best right winger 10M+ next year so that won't be happening. might have to let him walk then do something with the cap space. Maybe they could try having some good D idk who's likely available next year tho. Sucks. I blame Dubas and Shanny for getting shit on by player agents.

You truly don't know Jack about the leafs. This move was done because Minten and Knies have worked so well together that they can or will be the next 3rd line for the leafs.

Willy looks locked-in and poised for a huge year. He is not as jovial and easy going as he has been in the past…but in a good way. It's like he understands if he is going to be asking for big bucks he better act like a superstar at all times. I really like him being paired with Domi, two smaller types but are super high IQ hockey players. I CAN'TWAIT FOR HOCKEY SEASON!!!!!
The problem is having 4 star players making 10+ million… name other teams with the same predicament… it's not common and is very hard to manage the rest of the team
leafs need to resign nylander and marner and let tavares go. We would have atleast 7-9 mill to sign a 2C
