  1. Boston loves their vets going back to the julien days. The kids rarely get a fair shot.

  2. Walsh reminded me of how Carlo gets hit all the time. Concussion injury waiting to happen.

  3. Bruins are putting Lysel in the perfect position to fail. Play the guy with someone who can make a play. Keep talking trade and they will regret it.

  4. It would be beyond brain dead for the Bruins to screw around with one of the only real NHL prospects that sits in their NHL's worst ranked farm system

Poitras had a 3rd round grade and the knocks on him were he lacked NHL size and speed. He still does Bruins homers

So Poitras can either be a 1c, a leader and someone that plays in all situations in the OHL where he can develop his game as well his physical stature or be a low minute guy that never plays in critical situations in Boston.

This seems like an easy choice.

Putting Poitras in the NHL on the Bruins this year where he would not be a 1c or 2c and likely only be able to be put in a limited minutes bottom 6 role would not only not serve Poitras well, it wouldn't serve Boston well either considering the crap state of their farm system and how desperately they need someone to actually develop from it for once

    News Flash Bruins Homers…

Since 2017 the Bruins only have one player that's still with the organization that's not a goalie that was drafted 2017 or after that's even played a single NHL shift.

That's Jacob Lauko and his lousy 24 games in the NHL since he was drafted 5 years ago

That's it!!! One guy since friggin 2017!!!

    38 draft picks since 2017.

98% of them forwards or d-men and ONE guy, ONE, has played an NHL shift over the course of those 6 draft years. ONE!!!!

So the Bruins should do the smart thing and let Poitras develop properly which means sending him back to the OHL this year

As for Lysell, the longer this goes on with him the more he's looking like a potential bust.

Lysell has largely done nothing but trend downward since being drafted and the reality is he was the drafts most "boom" or "bust" player in his draft year.

Some scouts had in the Top 10. Others had him as a 2nd round pick. Others said they wouldn't draft him until the 3rd round or later. Granted, most said the raw talent is electrifying but he was also someone lots of scouts said his intangibles (lack of compete level, small, not focused enough, etc…) could haunt him at the NHL level.

Maybe Lysell turns things around this year but if he has another down year this year, uh-oh.

The reality is if a 1C becomes available, or even a 2c via the trade market, the Bruins should be open to moving Lysell while they can because he could easily be a prospect that no one values if he has a crap season this year and the Bruins can't afford to have more busted 1st round picks that they get nothing out of. Don Sweeney has been doing way too much of that as it is.

As it stands right now, Poitras may have already surpassed Lysell in terms of being the Bruins #2 best prospect behind Lohrei.

That's called "not good" at least in terms of how it spies to Lysell
