  1. I think you brought up a good point in passing Evan that the Bruins tend to over-season young players. I think it’s a byproduct of a long running log jam but I would HATE to see them overthink things with Poitras. To me the 9 game trial is automatic and if he continues to succeed it would be a mistake to send him back to juniors. We’ll see.

  2. Why can’t Poitras go to Providence? I have heard you say this a few times, just never heard the reason. Thanks

  3. If the Bruins want to give Poitras a 9 game audition I think it would be criminal to put him in the bottom six. I’d love to see him between Zacha and Pasta. Poitras is a right shot with really great vision, reminds me of Krejci. It can be an easier transition for Pasta.

  4. Evan your done with pre season im done with veteran bumbs like brown and Heinen still here for the love of god play our young guys…dam it.

  5. Anybody who has ever played hockey at a competitive level or closely followed hockey for years, knows that Poitras has that gift of seeing the game on another level. I think because of that he would pair well with Marchand and Pastrnak that see the game on an equally elite level. The 9 game trial is a must

  6. After the 9 games when the Bruins can have more insight, I tried to imagine how they could use him on the big team over a whole year. I wonder if you tell him, we’re keeping you and you’ll play about 60 games. You’ll play at 1C but will switch with Coyle during the game based on circumstances and opponents. For the games you sit, we will move Freddy to 3C and Coyle to 1C. So he gets a full first year with the kind of sheltering teams often give younger defensemen when they break in (minutes and responsibilities). If he gives you 40+ pts in this plan, he and the team are golden. I still want to watch how he defends.

  7. In my personal opinion Poitras has gotta start on the opening roster. He’s shown he can handle the game with his size decently enough. Marchy knows a thing or two about this & can mentor him well. I really would love to see them push him up out of any other player, with Beecher close to him. Would absolutely love to see how they perform on the PK which I believe is happening today? Also wondering if Forbs is injured or something because sheesh.

Even if we barely crack wild card I’m stoked to see young guns play, fingers crossed & go B’s.
