  1. Simon looked good. They could do what they did with Holtz last season and test him out on the bottom pairing. If he gets sent down to Utica he will be getting top line minutes. Either way he is going to be a stud.

  2. Yo how Doo Doo did Lafreniere look out there last night. Dude looked like he was skating with 2 left feet. 🤣

  3. In a few seasons when Dougie begins to decline Nemec + Bahl could be our top defensive pairing, with L. Hughes running the 1st PP unit and 2nd pairing alongside Marino

  4. Devils have good problems. A 1st round, 2nd pick D-man making a strong push to make the team who could STILL NOT potentially make the team. A big, young, strong, third pairing defenseman in Bahl who is poised to explode. And yeah, McLeod is finding his hands and feet, and adding a lot to being a face-off weapon.

  5. Nemec had some good offensive moments but defensively there were too many times he was a flat footed spectator. At 12 minutes of the 2nd period, Alex Belzile (who was placed on waivers today)went right around Simon for a break away chance….anybody else would have scored….Nemec will start in Utica and work on his defense.

  6. Nemec looked good at times and bad as he struggled a couple of times getting the puck out of the zone….All typical growing pains all signs are there he will be a steady top 4 in the future
