    From the local media, it appears the Wings are going with three goaltenders at the beginning of the season. My guess is, nearly all the prospects are going to Grand Rapids or Juniors. But there are always injuries during a season. So somebody will show up with the Wings at some point in the season.

    Looks like Aman got sent down to Abby as a result. Guess Lafferty will be the 4th line/1st man out kind of guy. Don't know much about him otherwise

    Honeslty decent pickup by the canucks our bottom 6 looks like garbage and we dont know the wait on mikheyev so this should help nice pickup and 5th round pick is nothing nice

    Lafferty was a disappointment with the Leafs. I watched a dozen Blackhawk games last year and he was one of their most noticeable three players every game but was rarely a factor in any of the Leaf games. Hopefully he turns it around.

    I hope nobody picks up Tufte, I liked what I saw of him in the pre-season so hopefully the Avs can keep him around. They will need him with the amount everyone gets injured all the time lmao

    Knowing the Leafs luck, Jones will sign with TB and beat the Leafs in the first round in relief of Vasilevskiy.

    I honestly feel bad for Boyd. He has really turned his career around in AZ and he’s been great for us. This team is finally improving though and with all the upcoming young talent it’s getting harder and harder to crack the lineup. GMBA isn’t signing placeholder pylons like Kassian and Nemeth anymore. I wouldn’t be surprised if Boyd gets picked up. I wish him the best. Honestly Prosvetov might benefit from getting claimed as well.

    So lets say Florida calls Vegas bluff and retakes Denisenko. And then they put him on waivers and Vegas claims. Is there a rule for that so it doesnt happen for infinitum?

    For montreal to waive the recently aquired lindstrom after he signed a deal with Stevie Y, you have to wonder why Yzerman gave him a one-way deal to begin with. i know many wings fans weren't happy with it. he deserved to be cut, he didn't shine and looked the weakest of all our D-mens, including the rookies, mailloux and reinbacher.

    Lafferty traded for a 5th ? wtf ? Vancouver won that trade all day long ! he's fast ,he hits, ,he can score and he'll fight ! not a good move unless he had to be moved to get something instead of him being placed on wavers ,getting picked up and Leafs get nothing? hmmmn

    I didn't see much of the preseaon but with last year I don't see how Calle Rosen makes it past the waiver wire. He was the blues best defenseman atleast +/- last season and I was expecting him to push for a top 4 spot this season. Atleast start the season as the 5th defenseman. Any team that needs help on the D should definitely pick him up.

    Coghlan is what Vegas gave Carolina to dump off Pacioretty and his salary to be able to afford winning The Cup.

    With Armia on waivers this leads us to believe Heineman made the team. We'll see, but they're also still carrying 3 goalies for now. I'm guessing they think Primeau will get claimed if they waive him, so we'll see for how long this lasts…

    So, a team over the salary cap (Toronto) obtains cap relief from another team over the salary cap (Vancouver)? It must make sense somehow.

    The Canucks camp have a battle for the backup spot, so they trade for someone to fill the role. Those last spots on the 4th line and backup forward are a knife fight and they trade for someone to fill the role, when nobody steps up to grab it. Who will get a chance to play in the 6-8th spot on the blueline? Numerous depth options but they will probably trade for someone to fill at least one of those spots. Who is going to fill in for for Mekheyev on the top line? Di Giuseppe shows up in camp and actually tries. Probably gets the short term spot. The Canucks are still coming to grips with their lack of depth where they need it, but at least they're getting around to addressing it.
