@Montreal Canadiens

This was a genius idea..

OK Guys, the Montreal Canadiens have finally made some difficult decisions today.. Joel Armia and Gustav Lindstrom was placed on waivers and in my opinion. This is great decision making by Kent Hughes, lets chat about it!

  1. Happy Thanksgiving everybody.. I hope the Turkey was great. and if it wasn't, well, Joel Armia just got put on waivers so you still have something to be happy about.

  2. Yea he isn't very productive in the regular season but he is a force in the playoffs. Some team would see it.

  3. Ylonen, Heineman, Norlinder stay put. Primeur gets a shot to play elsewhere or Laval and Barron heads to Laval to work more on his game consistency.

  4. Send Heinemen down with Barron and than try trading Allen.. Emil can get called up soon as an injury happens

  5. the waiver situation is a sticky situation.. damned if you do, damned if you dont,

  6. Thank God ! I'd gladly take a baloney sandwich fot Thanksgiving to hear this news ! Right there with ya Junkie !

  7. I'm suprised that Primeau didn't get waved today so that means hughes has something up his sleeve. Either a trade or he is going to send down barron and hiedemen temporarily

  8. should start talking aboot primeau
and how gud he is imo
if you jump on early makes you look smart.
    gohabsgo

  9. I'll just say Gally is pretty lucky to have this NMC otherwise i'd place him on waivers after what we've seen this camp. He clearly needs more time to work on his fitness, his engine, much much more than Armia does.

  10. @HockeyJunkie Don't sell your self short my man. You not just the average idiot. You are a Prime Time first ballot hall of fame idiot and that why we adore you.

  11. Off topic but Florian Xhekaj has 2 goals and 2 assists in his first 3 games very good start

  12. Gallagher and Heineman Heineman is protected and can we waive Wideman ? Or is he already waived ?

  13. and……………speaking of scoring 14 points………Mr Galagher s reached the 14 pts level }}} a total of 29!!! goals in 3 years……….as much as we love him being the soul and heart of the team }}}} }you"ve got a player at $$ 6.5 MILLIONs for 4 thats}} FOUR more years! who may be thru" b/c of his injuries! thus LTIR……….or 40 + points to keep that 6.5. !! millions

  14. They can't put Primeau on waivers because he'll get picked up and they'll lose him for nothing. He'll make the team. The Habs will have 3 goalies on the roster until they can move one for something

  15. Happy Thanksgiving Junkie!!! So stoked to see Armia go, who knows, maybe some time in Laval will get his game going again, he does have potential, like the goal he almost scored last night, had that gone in, would have been the nicest goal from the Habs during the preseason! Id like to see him get his game going and come back and do well, i dont expect that to happen, at all, but it would be nice! lol.

  16. Im most likely completely wrong, but I smell a transaction or two in the air to not lose guys for nothing, lose value for nothing or some other shenanigans.

Barron will be outclassed by Mailloux/Reinbacher in the next season or two like he was this year by Norlinder, no reason to keep him, i think he will be dealt also because his value is technically way higher than Norlinder atm because he has NHL exp, if done properly it will look seamless proposing both to the other teams and let em persuade themselves to pick Barron … it would need to be done before we announce who is cut to not affect the return.

If i had to chose between Heineman and Ylonen, my response would be Heine but i doubt the club would do the same, especially since Heine is protected through waiver. When it comes down to Primeau i think he really wants a chance to play, but idk if he would get claimed or not since there is other interesting choices around the league … Detroit in particular.

Let’s see what Hughes is cooking tomorrow !

  17. My pick would be Barron and Norlinder sent down, Norlinder has been good, but the deadline to send players through waivers so they count as a deduction from the 23-man roster was 2 PM EDT today, so IMO these are the only logical moves to send down given team needs.

  18. Armia on waivers is great news. hope they send Primeau down and he gets claimed as he will never be a starter in the NHL and wasting development for better that are behind him

  19. Armia is far from "gone", he's not going to be picked-up on waivers, sent to Laval and replace an injured Hab in the season. Unfortunately, we're not done with him.
