OK Guys, the Montreal Canadiens played their final game of the pre-season last night against the Ottawa Senators.. And while the Sens didn’t have many regulars playing in the lineup, they still put up quite a battle and were a worthy opponent for the Habs. Xhekaj puts a puck completely THROUGH the net before the game comes to an end, lets chat about it!

Iced a bunch of goons to fight Xhekaj and perhaps even injure one of our guys… Then ended up not getting what they wanted and got an injury instead. Fucking clowns.
As much as I would've liked a Xhekaj fight, I think he did good not giving it to them. Thats what they were hoping for.
To be clear, I'm not saying that the coach told their players to injure someone or that the players wanted to. But surely they knew it would be possible with the team they iced. And it's the sentiment I got from some sens fans on twitter. Bunch of fuckers who prioritize injuring players from a non-competing rival team instead of warming up their guys before the start of what could be their first playoff season in years. Shameless.
The over/under for the Habs season is 71.5 right now. If healthy, I think the boys are gonna clear that easy.

Arber was a beast. What a leader this kid is becoming. He can grab to opponents and throw them around at the same time, he can hit like a truck, he can fight like a heavy weight champ, he can wire wristers through the damn net. This kid is Sheldon Souray with better defensive awareness and way more speed.

Heinemen was the result of the 4th goal because he did what habs do so often 5ft from the line and messes it up and gives the puck away.What was crazy to watch is even when they were winning they were not playing very well.However right after looking bad on another powerplay they did something positive that surprised me.They suddenly decided to play proper hockey hustling hard to the net shots on net get the puck to the net any way possible and suddenly they looked real good.
However soon after that 3-4 shift run they went back to the same old RHP sets up Suzuki but instead of shooting he tries to pass it back…sigh.Slafkovsky got knocked around by a smaller guy I think it was that Kelly kid more poor defensive coverage and more bad decisions.
However as expected the OTT lineup wasn't very good so they would mount some offense and yeah Arber can shoot.
I have been saying all along Arber can play hockey he does have a good shot he does have some skill but of course his skating is a bit behind and his quickness isn't up to par but he really is still in his learning and development phase and he will get better.
Personally I wish people would quit hyping Heinemen he is not a good player barely good enough for Laval way over rated.Barron is another I wouldn't put any stock in him being a good NHL'r because he won't ever be,
Know who else is over rated Guhle he is sloppy and very inconsistent with his entire game just a very average D man.Sadly one other D did not look good but it's ok one bad game doesn't mean a whole lot since he has been consistent more often and that was Harris.
Armia should go to Laval, this guy's a clown trash talking the team that give him a payroll. Fuck him.

I love how Xhekaj is starting to choose his fighting spots a little more wisely now, he's proven he can scrap, save the scrappin' for when someone takes a run at our goalie, or a smaller player. Then unleash the beast!!!!!

I find it really weird how senators fans seemed to think the game was close. Montreal was the better team the entire way through which should be expected by the roster. Montembeault however was a big concern, turned a game that should have been 5-1 into 6-4 with a bunch of softies.
I can't wait to see the Flo Rider (Florian Xhekaj) become the second half of the Bruise Brothers!

I get not wanting to call penalties left and right in the playoffs, but in a game that doesn't matter you wanna let the goons hurt someone like Matheson or Slaf?
