Good move. Toffoli is 31+ and looking for a long term deal. A first is not a draft day deal, Would of had to hoped for another good year and then moved at the trade deadline. its a win to just unload an aging player. Not worth another aging player well over 30 long term.

On his Devil news conference it was the lack of interest from the Flames to sign a contract for the reason to ask for a trade. loved the City and wanted to stay. Good on Conroy for sticking to his Guns. Responded to Eric Francis question on whether he requested a trade or not wanting to sign an extension. It was the Flames not the player wanting to leave.
Need to trade for players that help keep Lindholm. This trade IMO does not

Glad🙂 to management removing guys that do not want to be here. Canadian contracts are a problem. Flames do not want those that do not want to be here. Lose a good payer but get a good payer who is much younger. Pus another pick I am happy with that

What's the big whoop? Taffolli and the other players rumored to be traded don't look like they want to be in Calgary for whatever reason. Its not a prime time soap opera. The owners are the ones who pushed for Sutter to come back, which was the wrong ingredient for the mix that Brad was working on. Just my opinion.
Now Craig has to find the right mix with new coaches and two 30+ players on big long paychecks having duhd seasons.
