It’s pretty sad how they’ve gift wrapped first line and PP minutes and served them on a silver platter to Raymond for 2 seasons straight when he hasn’t shown any more talent than at least 2-3 of our other high end prospects in the same place.

Could just be a communication error between Yzerman who signs players and the people who finalize the roster. Sometimes player deals happen spontaneously.
Once Scotty explained his take it’s very clear to see. ZAR is a body that they may or may not have to use. None of their prospects or Vetted AHL players are going to benefit from being that 13th skater. That includes Czarnik who is going to be greatly influential towards the development of the GR prospects. Bergrenn will continue to play quality minutes in the AHL and develop with the future wings until he’s needed.

Is it possible with some teams needing a goalie right now hence keeping 3 on the roster that the Reese signing is a insurance move in case yzerman pulls of a decent trade and has to part with a prospect like berger along with a goalie to land a pretty decent player in return? Yzerman always has a plan brewing so it wouldn’t surprise me to see a goalie and a prospect moved for a solid roster player and Reese is just emergency call up insurance or the extra forward? Thoughts???

1st line is going to be Raymond, Larkin, and Cat. Lalonde even said before the last game, that dont put much into line combos on the last preseason game. Maybe Peron over Raymond, def wont be Raz. Raz with be with Compher, no doubt. They had good chemistry in the preseason.
Have to agree with Scotty. They are placing ZAR on waivers now when there is 0 chance of him being claimed. Meanwhile, if there is an injury in next 30 days, they will call up Berggren and not have to waive ZAR again
