Jones cleared waivers this afternoon. Bogosian cleared also.
Straw…meet camel's back. The Bolts had 3 Stanley cup final run and in each they tried to replace or stabilize their core with trade and loopholes and emptying their prospect pool. Now they have no cap space, no draft picks, an empty prospect pool and they will start without Vasilevskiy. Won't say it's impossible at all, but look at all the last dynasties of the 2000 and it was either injuries or depth you can't really replace that stopped them. They, with the Panther and Bruins, will have a drop this year because the rest of the division as gotten better. They are closer to a Jenga tower, one piece in either offense or defense out and that entire tower will collapse. Can't wait to see what they will do ?
Jonas Johansson is about to prove a lot of people wrong, vasi will be back and tampa will be fine. I think tampa finishes 3rd with a slight step back and meets toronto in the 2nd round ⚡️

still think they are a playoff lock the superstars are still there and they added much-needed speed because they couldn't keep up with other teams. I also think Johanasson will surprise a lot of people and be solid in vasi’s absence theirs a reason they trusted him as the backup over Elliott. Gotta think with full seasons in Tampa players like jeannot and raddysh will step up like hagel and prove themselves as key depth pieces

Good work on the video boys. So it looks like they will roll with Johansson and Thompkins as of rn. But they do have the flexibility as jesse said with vasy on Ltir for now to add if it comes to that. It all comes down to whether this team can survive vasy being out for a while. I think the defense is probably the most important factor for them to be successful.
The parings will probably be:
Hedman-Perbix
Sergachev-Raddysh
Cernak-DeHaan for defending
They really need to play well this year especially at the start to cover for vasy not being able.
The forwards as always have incredible high end talent their is Stamkos(plz sign him btw ill commit hari kari otherwise),kucherov,hagel,point,cirelli and paul. I also think they upgraded their bottom 6 with glendenning,motte and archibald. However there is a noticeable hole on 2nd line left wing. Right now Conor Sheary is the guy but i think the bolts want someone like Walterri Merela who is 6’2 and has great scoring ability or the extremely talked about Tanner Jeannot to return to his form as a rookie. If no one really steps up expect that to be a trade deadline move(hey Patrick Kane😊). I expect this to be one of the last seasons where Tampa is a contender, their getting older, the prospects are starting to dwindle so it’s important that the lightning make the most of their window starting to close. I think they finish 3rd in the Atlantic behind the sabres and Toronto and just ahead of Florida and Boston its gonna be competitive best of luck to everyone!
