Congrats Blackhawk fans, I got to see him play in about 30 or so games this year (I live in Erie), and you probably got the biggest steal of the draft, it was so special to see him play I'm gonna miss him (and Strome)!!! You will not be disappointed by DeBrincat thats for sure!
The young man looks like he really knows how to put himself in a position to score and even better, really takes advantage of his opportunities. Since all of scoring highlights are from position play, I'm going to assume that he isn't exactly known for his speed. I glad the Hawks got him and hopefully he will be wearing a Hawk's sweater on a permanent basis in the future.
I was very sad and disappointed to see shaw go, but to see the kind of player we got for him has eased the pain a lot. This guy should have easily been a first rounder and the fact he played with mcdavid and strome makes it even better. He said he will probably be at erie again, but looking at these highlights there is no way he shouldnt be able to make the team right away because we NEED him on the top line. Because our forward depth is horrible unless we have young guys like debrincat to step up to the plate. Small guys have done amazing in the nhl before (gaudreau, st. louis, etc.) so why not give this guy a shot?
