its like the last few days they decided to say “fuck development”
My armchair coaching thinks Hughes-Marino would be a better 2nd pairing, but I guess I’ll trust Lindy on this
what does the coaching staff see in Brendan Smith that literally everyone else doesn’t? If the argument is “we want Nemec to play a ton in the AHL, better for his development, and we don’t want an all-rookie third pairing” fine. I get it.
But brendan smith playing over Colin Miller gives me full on heartburn.
About what I figured. Although I’d think McLeod would get bumped up the 3rd line given how good he’s been and could handle a bigger role if Haula was out.
Seems like Lazar is holding Haula’s place rather than assuming he is unavailable and shifting McLeod.
Meaning, 4th line is likely solidified night one as

If Lazar beat out either winger they could have just slotted Tierney into the placeholder center position.
