Alot of "hockey insiders" just entirely allow themselves to be taken for a ride by all these rumors and drama in the name of clicks… They wouldnt ever stop pushing out the narrative that PLD was ONLY going to MTL, and we were gonna basically have to give him away for whatever crap MTL decided to give us out of pity… Whatever pieces they didnt want basically…
The media took a big fat L on that talking point…and theyre talking a big fat L on this one as well… They just LOVE to throw this city and organization under the bus, in the name of generating clicks, where they couldnt have got them any way else…
I guess the reaction to the Hellebuyck and Scheifele signings was the exact opposite to the Hendricks TDL deal. That audio clip on the Hendricks deal was funny.

The length of these contracts are an issue-but you just can’t let talented players “walk out the door”-This Is a, bold, but needed move to keep this team playoff competitive. Bravo,
Connor must have same Agent as Rick Dipietro who Fleeced Islanders or maybe Luongo hehe. I can't see that working out long or short term really. Hopefully can Win Cup as I don't think anybody was going to pay him that kinda money or term. Mark probably could have got 9M for 7 years or up to around 11M scoring over 40 Goals. PLD got paid 8.5M along with Forsberg from Nashville so he is a better value even Eichel got 10M. Kopitar will have 10M reduced to 7M as he is well past prime too. I was upset and excited when saw the news. Team is going to try to compete when thought were getting into a major rebuild ;). Knights I thought would get him in a year or so at most :). Now they will clearly be Dahlin's next team as Buffalo spent 11M on him :). So much for expecting their jerseys to go on sale ;). I just hope Connor Rebounds ASAP :).
