LOVE THIS SIGNING! As a longtime Jets fan, hearing words like "bring a Stanley Cup to Winnipeg" has never been part of this culture. Players often treated playing in Winnipeg as an obligation or stepping stone to their 'real team'. I love how Scheifle and Helle made this commitment. Winnipeg needs to appreciate these players and the culture shift they bring.
I assume he’s staying cause the jets are paying him to be a 1st line center & real contenders would’ve paid him to be a 2nd line winger.
