I need someone to help me figure out if this jersey is a counterfeit.

So my wife wants to buy me a signed roope Hintz jersey off of eBay. I’m cautious because I know how eBay can be when it comes to authentic jerseys. It looks good at first glance but it’s hard to tell if it’s legit or not. The autograph looks good but it’s the jersey itself that I can’t figure out. I know that adidas has made alterations over the years to numbers and collars. It has a lot of legit looking features but the number mainly throws me off and how dark the jersey looks but I think it’s just the sellers lighting. Anyway, can anyone help me out?

It’s not counterfeit. But it’s not a competition sweater. It’s a replica sweater manufactured by Adidas under license from the league and the team for sale to fans.

It doesn’t look like my counterfeit (for what it’s worth)

Nah that’s authentic asf. It’s just an Indo tho, not a MIC but still from adidas nevertheless

I got a jersey I outa post for review. So the bill went to some foreign person and had to change currency. Site seemed cut paste and address and numbers didn’t seem right. So I finally get it and it fades. I’ll post a photo. Sounds fake to me

Check the fight strap stitching and size of it, it’s a dead giveaway when it’s smaller

Overall, it looks good.. the only thing that is off to me is the fabric used for the nameplate.. but the stripes, fonts, adidas badging looks good

jersey it self looks fine; but on the 5th picture it says “LNH” on the tag

Neckline stitching on Chinese knockoffs is a dead giveaway. Legit jerseys have proper stitches while fakes have really sloppy stitches and the fabric in the neckline is usually all bunched up.

Another dead giveaway to me is JSA COAs. It’s the cheapest auto authentication so people get cheap knockoffs signed in person and try to pass them off as official legit signed jerseys.

Man I was really disappointed in NHL auctions. I bid on and won a signed Pavs blackout jersey on the official NHL auctions. Was super excited because it was right as he got hurt in the playoffs.

I get it and was extremely disappointed. The blackout jerseys was real, and the signature was real. But! It was an authentic blank jersey, that they (AJ sports) got ironed on pavs numbers and name and had him sign. The numbers/letters are like a matte finish, and the shade of green isn’t the same.

It’s very obvious that it was a real blank with iron ons and is incredibly disappointing.

For reference, this one is mine. Bought at the Hangar in Frisco and signed instore.

I was sure they weren’t using plates for the names and the numbers weren’t solid twill anymore, but maybe I’m wrong.
