Relevant portion: Sabres tabbed with a 51.5% chance to make the playoffs. Sens and Islanders trail at 36% and 21%, respectively. Image here: https://ibb.co/CKJRFwF
Sabres will have to stay ahead of OTT and NYI and displace one of these eight: TB (67%), Panthers (76%), Bruins (76%), Pens (82%), NYR (94%), Canes (97%), Leafs (100%), or Devils (100%).

I’m excited for the season but still pretty skeptical. A decade of purgatory will do that though
I just get how you can keep Tampa up so high when they are starting their season with Matt Tomkins and Johnas Johansson as their goalie tandem. Vasilevskiy is going to miss at least the first two months of the season. Their forward group isn’t impressive at all once you get past Stamkos, Point, Kucherov, Hagel and Cirelli. I see them falling hard this year.
Boston still has Pasta and the Rat, great defense and goalies but their center spine is crap too. Zach and Coyle are mid-6 centers at best and Beecher and Poitras are kids. They are going to miss Bergeron and Krejci way more than people are expecting.
Ya know that’s probably exactly what I would have given them too.
This is the weirdest preseason I’ve ever had as a fan. I both think we have a 25% chance to win our division and also like only a 40% to make the playoffs. I don’t know that I’ve ever been this confused about what I expect.
