  1. Yea I knew this was gonna happen last year. We need a true rebuild. I’m so sick of this retooling of my team.

  2. On the east coast, so don't pay that much attention to the Canucks but if they don't keep him they pretty much have to go the full rebuild route don't they?

  3. EP is jack eichel 2.0. instead of being a part of the solution he would rather flutter to a team that can contend for a cup. like hossa or eichel. this is not uncommon but it is usually when a player is later in his career. like denis savard or ray bourque. i'm curious what the return would be for EP.

  4. Pettersson is pressuring them a bit. When he says 'I have one more year there' it's obvious he wants out

  5. Non event. Ya neither side is committed to a long term deal mostly because they are most likely far apart on the AAV. Petey has only had one season outside the 60-70 point seasons of previous years so i am sure management is not committing to a massive contract based on one giant year that is why they didn't offer him a long term deal. Both parties are in show me mode and there is nothing to be worried about. If Petey performs better than he did last year i am sure both sides will be more in agreement with a long term deal. My guess is Petey gets 85-90 points this year and then they will get a deal done. No worries.

  6. Probably because they know Canucks need a proper rebuild if this year doesn’t work out and you can’t keep Peterson & rebuild

  7. I really don't see EP as a guy who wants more money. He wants to win. since I got back into hockey only the bubble Canucks have impressed me. trade him for who though? He might do well in Boston.

  8. Lose pettersson resigned Kuzm enko after 2 years another Bure pettersson again Bure lefted 96 after 5 years pettersson the same after 2019

  9. I think the key here is that this is Friedman's opinion. An educated opinion for sure. But he didn't report that he was TOLD this.

  10. This is great news. It would be a shame for Pettersson to waste his career.

  11. If the team does not come out storming in the beginning of the season, then consider EP is good as gone

  12. This is all nonsense speculation, Friedman is clearly trying to make this into a story even though BOTH sides have agreed to wait until the season is over to have any further talks. But yes lets make up more stupid rumors for Vancouver to fight over…smh

  13. Doesn't Petey have to prove he is a winner? As their best player he has to lead them to success. Most of the best players understand this responsibility.

  14. #40 wants to be on a playoff team
And face the facts Vancouver Canucks are not there
Vancouver canucks are trying reverse Psychology lol

  15. If he wants to win, he gone. If he wants a humongous contract that hamstrings an incompetent organization he’s a lifetime Canuck
