  3. Nov 15th: Ovie illegal hit on Canadiens' Drouin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyhvSwaxmFA

2012: Oveckhin suspended three games for same illegal hit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEt-iqeURYA

Back when the NHL took the rules they administer seriously. W'happened since? Nov 15/19 was the same illegal illegal charging by Ovie as in 2012 …. just no boards on the flip side (which doesn't matter in the rules). Refs and NHL in 2019 now call that a clean Ovie hit (?!). Huh. NHL administration of the same NHL rules to the same NHL player have changed over the intervening period from 2012 to 2019.

Note: NHL.com on YT are NOT featuring this "clean" hit though (why not?). NHL is trying to sweep this one under the rug, including Canadiens' slew foot of Ovechkin later in the same game as payback. NHL: Let it all go and fugetaboutit; keep Ovechkin on TV playing. No name players around the League would have been suspended. TV revenues drive decisions nowadays, more than ever.

NHl put a 8:58 highlights package on the Habs-Capitals game on YT ….. and purposely excluded a highlight hit …. Ovechkin on Drouin ….. because they know it was illegal, and they don't want Ovechkin missing from play (TV advertising revenues, etc.).
