The current Devon also recently lost to Genadi. Now, fans are having ridiculous expectations, just like they did back when Devon crushed Michael Todd. (Recency bias in action) Because he easily defeated Gasparini. Which in reality is irrelevant. Since Ermes basically made Devon's job much easier by making all the worst possible mistakes you could think of vs the master of pronation. Strangely enough…many seem to think Cyplenkov is not only weaker than Ermes, but will also make the very same mistakes as the likes of Prudnik or Ermes. It's like…people never learn or have the attention span of an oyster.
Why foes everyone always talk about power and how Devon may not be "strong enough" Devon is strong AF: went straight into the hook with both Prudnik and Ermes and absolutely played with them and Ermes is strong AF we all know that. What people dont seem to understand is that Devon is strong AF too and has more tools than anyone in the game right now and more than anyone probably ever had up to this point.

Denis' hand is much bigger and stronger than Ermes' hand. Therefore, I surely would put my money on Denis. While I absolutely am impressed with Devon, Denis is also a genetic monster. Denis could either hit really hard like Levan, or use Devon's own tactic: dragging him into a hook and leaning back, then toproll. Denis is training that second move a lot and we probably will not see him go for fast pins.
