All they got was a 5th Rd pick for Lafferty. They wanted Vinny? Not a chance. Thier alternative to a 5th Rd pick would have been to lose him on waivers. Maybe Kemp or Hofenmayer at most.

How did benson look in preseason? He could be an option for that 12th forward spot.
