Sucks that the refs stole this one from us, but the guys looked great for the final 40. Really exciting hockey!
Not the ideal finish but hard fought 2nd and 3rd periods for the boys. Glad hockey is back!
Lots of positives. Things to work on:
Can’t take so many penalties
Need to start faster
Need to clean up the PK
Work on zone entries
Pay the refs more than the other team did
Fuck the score, the boys were looking good out there!
This shit is rigged. Fuck Garry Bettman and fuck the NHL. Also fuck ESPN+. I hope the Blackhawks lose by 90.

Seemed like our new coach and young players held their own in an away barn against a very established and successful Lightning team. Hate the result but still excited about the preds.
I will donate $9.80 to the foundation for every game that Bedard goes without a point this season. Somebody remind me at game 82.
That first period had me worried, the last two make me feel better. I think this younger group will be a lot of fun this year!
Ain’t even mad about losing as I am upset that we lost on some stupid stuff like bad penalties. Good effort from the boys today otherwise. Top line was looking nasty those last two periods, Novak is still a goal-scoring machine, and loved the pace of play in the 2nd and 3rd periods.
Just gotta clean up the penalties and get to work on finding that scoring edge. Otherwise, we might have ourselves a pretty fun team to watch this year! Glad to have the Preds back!
Per the announcers Tampa has won the Stanley cup.
The first period is what we saw a lot of last year. The second period is something we didn’t see last year. The third period, both the good and bad, is probably what we will see a lot more of this year.

Such an amazing game. I hate to bitch about the refs, especially this early, but FUCK that penalty shot and FUCK that call on Lauzon.

There was a lot of bullshit in that game but:
– I’m glad we did something at least after that 1st period.
– I’m happy to see guys scoring.
– Thank god no more Hynes.
– That PK needs some work. Yikes.
This isn’t a playoff team (how many times has GMBT told us to be patient?) but it was glad to see them play like a maybe lower borderline playoff team.
Hyping up a player for embellishing a penalty is definitely something. Fuck ESPN commentators.

Fantastic first game after that dismal 1st period. Don’t remember the last time we beat Tampa so I wasn’t expecting a win, but man I would’ve loved to see some better reffing. That phantom high-stick call on Lauzon and the penalty shot for Hagel sucked ass. So happy hockey is back though, and I’m glad to be watching them with you all again!

Big take away from the game. My 5 month old got to watch and I think he likes hockey.
Also we’re starting him early on the pains of being a Preds fan.
I think the main reason’s im upset about this loss is the refs fucked us and we genuinely looked like the better team (if they stop taking penalties)
It was 5-3 but really that game was one clean shot from a totally different outcome, even with all the penalty tomfuckery
Maybe a controversial take, but we should start paying the refs more so that they don’t need to rig games so their fucking $5 bets on DraftKings pay out
