Is there a specific reason the NHL keeps letting Reeves get away with boarding? Do they just put the whistle away and hope they get a fight out of it? Are they scared of him? Does the rulebook state that boarding can only be called on smaller players who are less likely to injure an opponent? What?
That wasn't a fight, that was one guy grabbing another and pushing him into the goal so he didn't get hit. I give the kid credit for going after Reaves but it certainly wasn't a fight. Reaves was the only one to throw a punch there but the kid did seem to throw a knee.

When i found out the leafs signed ryan reeves, i was a little nervous if Xhekaj could get the job done… i am no longer nervous. Arber Xhekaj just sat that man down like he was his son… the rest of the league take note, the sheriff is here
As a Leafs fan, I have nothing but respect for Xhekaj. He's tough as nails, plays physical, is a solid defender, and can throw bombs. In a game that is declining (imo) I really enjoy tuning in to watch him play. Sucks that players like him are becoming extinct
