  1. OMG I hated the Leafs they suck down 2-0,best team ever Leafs 3-2,the worst team I ever seen at 5-3 montreal, greast team in NHL history when they tied 5-5 and Matthews got a hatty.Overtime Leafs were bums and the shootout they are going to lose.
WTF leafs won shootout.undefeated this year and best NHL team ever FU boston.

  2. Leafs looking like a complete non threat again lol let a rebuilding team score 5 on 24 shots 💀💀

  3. For the first game of 2023/2024 – what a thriller, i might need to take a nap now. Lots of positives and negatives on both teams, for my Habs – special teams still need so, so much work… but lots of positives with Newhook, Slaf, Guhle to name a few.

I will say our old man line of Monahan / Pearson / Gallagher did not look really good – fine 5 on 5, but Monahan failing that clear that led to the 5-5 tie…. brutal.

  4. Fun to watch and a win over the habs is always a treat. The goalie and defence thing is now been going on for 7 years. What is wrong with MLSE? They are willfully blind and cant figure out why.

  5. Both these teams have lousy defense. & average goaltending . They both play wide open. Far too many turnovers. Leafs are going to allow many goals this year . They didnt address their defense problem. Montreal will improve slightly from last year but are still not playoff bound.

  6. im so sick of guys getting jumped for poking the puck when the goalies covering it, yea u can push the guy away but you dont need to throw hands. you’re allowed to poke the puck and play until the whistle

  7. Talk about the big 3 showing up. Nylander with the go ahead. Marner w the game winning shootout goal and Papi with the hatty.
Nice to see Gregor welcome himself to the Leafs with the team's first goal this season, too.
    I missed hockey.

  8. Nice Leafs culture shift indicator, Matthews jumping into the melee. 3 goals is a happy bonus on top of that.

  9. First ever game to watch live and my habs and leafs decided to just put me through a 4 period saga of up and downs. Best game ever, don't know if I can watch or listen to hockey ever again 😂

  10. The Leafs are terrible in their own end. This is what killed them in the playoffs last year. They need to do some defense drills and learn how to effectively dump the puck out.

  11. You can't win every game this way. Sloppy. ugly win. Without Klingberg keeping the puck in Matthews never ties the game.
