It’s easy to get overly excited with these early wins, so I’ll refrain from any crazy statements for a few games.
Anyways, on an unrelated note, im hosting a Calgary Flames Stanley Cup party at my place in 8 ish months.
8-1 LMFAO
Flames win and Oilers get demolished. I’m gonna enjoy this moment while it lasts
What a game for Eat Bread and his new hairline!!
Huby 164 point season confirmed. We are so back
Mangiapane had a game! Time for a resurgence!
ITS GREAT TO BE BACK BABY 🔥🔥🔥
That was Blue Jays level of stress-watching
Fuck yeah! Never in doubt, boys!
Flames win, Oilers get shat on. Great night!
Huge 2 points!
We win, Oilers get demolished. I LOVE HOCKEY.
Marky looked great, some players looked horrible. Take the W, but that wasn’t pretty!
Another season opener winner? And Oilers get absolutely destroyed? What a great way to start the season.
Flames win and Oilers get embarrassed. Love to see it
This one’s for Snow!
I know people are scared about hubey but I feel as if I’ve seen little parts of his old game lately
Bread was on fire. Coronato was amazing too, he just couldnt find the net, but his speed was great. Speaking of soeed, backlund looked nice and fast tonight.
Also fuck ya markstrom
This season is for Snowy. Keep winning boys! ❤️
I haven’t felt this elated in months. Flames get the W and the Oilers get absolutely stomped. I was laughing all night long
Yaaaahoooo!!!!
Not the cleanest game, but some positives for sure. Marky looked great. Hubs was invisible lots of the game but seemed to pick things up as the game went on, loved his hustle at the end. Mang getting goals, Lindy getting points, D chipping in lots. Matty C was buzzing and his goals will come.
Just need to clean up our own end.
Washing this one down with some salty McDavid tears
Ouch. Hubey hitting the post on an empty net gotta hurt. But at least he gets a few points tonight.
I need more from Kadri
Can’t lose in OT if we never go to OT
Also sticks out for snowy, that one is for him
Shocker. Edmonton only goal was the same pass and shot from McDavid to Drai…on the powerplay!
Good Flames win and Canucks gave the Oilers a beat down. That loss to the Canucks in the pre-season doesn’t feel bad anymore since Oilers got beaten much harder.
Can’t give up 40 shots each game and the defensive zone needs work. However, I’m impressed with the stability the team showed to not get razzled after every Winnipeg push back and to go out and get the next goal.
I’m sure they will get some time to gel on this road trip and the defensive zone will tighten up.
Let the season commence. Go flames go!
What a win great job by marky holy go flames go
LMAO SN is currently showing it as a 6-3 win i’ll def take that
I had my Mangi blasty on, I don’t mind taking some credit for his big night you’re all welcome
I love this win for Marky (and Snow’s family) so much. He’s gotta feel pretty good about gis game tonight. Let in a stinker but recovered well and he absolutely stole this one for us.
Me three hours ago: Oh Toronto won, plan the parade assholes
Me now: The parade definitely has to go down 17th
Oilers made J.T. Miller a hero today.
Flames win, oilers lose 8-1
Let’s go 🤠
I know some of us were criticizing Huby this game but he and Mang setup that game winning goal when we needed it most. The guy had zero clutch plays last year so this helper on the game winner is better than anything he’s done with us prior. I’m cautiously optimistic he can continue to build off this and get more comfortable as the season goes on. He’s struggled but man I can’t help but cheer for him
Way to go boys. Don’t like sitting on a 1 goal lead like that, but wow nice bounce back. Beauty passes by Huby and Mangiapane and great bury by Lindy.
Marky was great tonight.
Winnipeg out played us, but we get the 2 points.
Cried with the Chris Snow presentation before the game. Glad the boys won it for Snowy.
Cheers gang and put it in the win column.
Meaghan Mikkelson asking really insightful tactical questions to the coaches on the aftershow. I am liking her addition to the broadcast team a lot.
Ryan Huska picks up his first win as NHL head coach.
